New Delhi: Due to the Kovid-19 crisis, real estate companies are facing shortage of money. They are also under pressure to complete projects. In view of this, some real estate developers of NCR have started a property swap scheme. It is being offered to those buyers whose houses are stuck in the project. Companies are telling such customers that if they are ready to give at least 70 percent of the new property, then they will be given the option to switch to another property. Yash Miglani, MD of Migson Group in Noida said, "We will accept the application of customers of any stuck project. Instead, we will give them a flat in our under construction or ready-to-move project. Once requested we will contact other buyers of the same project. Some brokerage firms are acting as middlemen between developers. The aim of the developers is to get the balance amount from the customers with the help of this which they would have given on completion and sale of the project. Under the scheme, the amount that the home buyer has paid to the developer earlier, will be deducted in the new property. Most customers have deposited 20-30 per cent of the total amount to buy apartments in these stuck projects.
